Shadowbane
Yes indeed, Shadowbane is a project that TC/GC will definately support. Sure, its still a LONG ways off and there's no absolute guarantee that it isn't just vaporware, but of all the MMORPGs coming out, SB looks like the most fun. By far.
For those few of you who did get into the SB beta, which should happen around November, please try to keep in touch with Katrina, Punisher, that one other guy, and myself so that we can coordinate our efforts in the beta. We truly want to help test-play as many of the classes, races, disciplines, guild types, etc., as we possibly can - mostly for our own fun and personal gain, i.e. knowledge, but also because we truly want Shadowbane to be as good as its concept makes it out to be. PvP based, guild-centric, dark, hostile, player-held territories, feature NPCs influencing events, a world in chaos . . . sounds like a whole lot of fun to me.
So read about it, at www.shadowbane.com, and see if it interests you. They've been adding much more information on player classes and disciplines as of late, and there will be much more listed there in the near future. If you played with TC/GC in the past three years and I don't have you on my current ICQ list, drop me a message (2673918) and tell me if you're interested in Shadowbane or not. We'd love to see all of our old friends back with us in SB.
Until then, I hope everyone keeps in touch and doesn't get too burned out. And always remember, the world doesn't truly revolve around MMORPGs, or work, or who's the best at this or that, or money, or any of the other petty things that consume the lives of so many people. Know that in its essence, the world revolves around me. So think about me, and things you can do for me, and how you make my life better. And from that, happiness will follow. Yes, be there in Shadowbane, but be there . . for me.
State of the Union
Greetings my fellow GC. We find ourselves at interesting times here on SP right now; it is a time of great change for us as we proceed along our path for Shard domination.
One of the highest profile changes is BiLL passing the reigns of GC to myself, I can only hope to be half the leader BiLL was. BiLL remains TC, so you will still be able to find his fingerprints on much of what we as a group still do. Fear not though, for I feel I am up to the task, and have an able group of people to help me past the initial fumblings of a newB GM.
Another large change is the patch. OSI, in their infinite wisdom, has heard the braying of the sheep, and has done for them what they could not do themselves. They made the sheep stronger, and made us weaker at the same time, thus allowing them to almost compete with our superior PvP skills, mostly through the application of their randomly generated chance (read: luck) to inflict special hits on their opponents. The thing I find most amusing, is how brave this new patch has made the sheep, not only are their characters buffed and ours nerfed, but they feel the need to gather up in one big herd of sheep in order to feel safe as they fight us. Look at some of the things I have read coming from Mahja's CF movement, and see if you are as amused at their antics as I am.
"The destruction of GC will continue till GC
1. Breaks up or renames GC to something different.
2. Has Katrina come here and ADMIT that GC cannot defeat the shard."
"We will continue to bring 3-1 odds till GC loses the attitude"
"Your houses will continue to be camped till we kick you off the shard"
Join me, my fellow GC, as I laugh in the "anti's" collective faces. They think to dictate how we run our business? They think they can run us off the shard by showing their true colors and epitomizing the grief players that they always accused us of being?
I don't know about you, but I don't think they quite understand the can of worms they have opened for themselves. GC still has some of the very best PvPers in the shard, this patch may not be mage friendly, but while our warriors are under construction, we are still winning our fair share of the fights. More to the point, we get to PK people hunting in our dungeons for their acquired gold rather than us having to do the hunting ourselves.
New leadership brings new changes to the guild. The changes in Shame and Deceit, had CF not come in with their 25-50 man gank squads, I would have ordered myself. We no longer need to own a dungeon to fund 40 GM mages, that time is past. I say let them do the work, we didn't spend all this time before SP learning to PvM, we spent it learning to PvP. If the sheep have smartened up and gathered in their herds for protection, it is only because they know, as I do, that everyone 1 GC is worth 5 of them. Just remember, same as the wolves we are patterned after, when ever a sheep separates from the pack, when ever one proves to be a little slow as they hunt, that will end up being just a little more loot in your bank account.
For now, every time Mahja sends a gank squad your way, just smile, and remember, they don't know what they have coming to them soon enough. The Guardian has a long memory, and he is not forgiving.
Till that day, the battle against the shard rages on.

HIS Voice
Servant of The Cabal
Times They Are A Changin'
Where's the Cabal these days? It should be obvious we're all on the Siege Perilous shard, anxiously sowing the seeds of a new empire built in Guardian's name. In fact, the entirety of Guardian's Chosen has made the move to a new land of conquest: TSO, FJP, and many other member guilds. Together with our allies, OGD and AOD, we are slowly making our presence felt on SP.
Any questions about GC's activities on the hard shard should be directly to Bill Gates, Darktower, Blue Knight or Perlaze. If you don't have their ICQ #'s, you can ICQ me, Dregon, and I'll be glad to forward your messages to them, :)
